New Year. New Look.
New Features.

In addition to some amazing major releases coming out this quarter, you’re also going to start seeing our fresh new “look and feel” updates come through as we have pushed the button on our new design for both the App and the Management Portal and we’re super excited to share them with you!

To the right, you can see the new Client Portal demonstrating our new look and feel.

Amazing Team Collaboration

A big thank you to our design, development and engineering teams. The project has been led from the front by Formitize Head of Engineering, Nathan Sams with incredible contributions from the talented Steve Burge who is Lead Designer at Formitize, along with the awesome UI work led by Alysse Curran, Lead Designer at our creative agency, Greenhouse Creative.

5 Goals for Our New Design
  1. Make Formitize easier and more naturally intuitive.
  2. Update to an awesome modern look and feel.
  3. Make features and processes work better.
  4. Incorporate new requested features that our users have requested.
  5. Make using the App and the Web Management Portal the same or very similar experience.

 

Is everything going to suddenly change all at once?

No, you can relax on that one, we are not going to change everything all at once.

We’re making the changes one step at a time in a logical way so you will get used to them gradually. We are trying to keep everything as familiar as possible so although it will look different, most things will still function in a very similar way, albeit a bit easier.

What is the first change?
1. CRM Contacts

We’ve picked the CRM Contact Page to update first.  We are almost ready to release our brand new Client Portal. The Client Portal will enable your customers to access their Jobs, Quotes and Invoices at any time without having to call you to request them. Using the Client Portal, your customers will also be able to Accept a Quote, Pay an Invoice, or View a Job.

 

2. Client Portal

In order to release the Client Portal, we need to make some changes to the CRM Contact page so that you can decide which Contacts can access the Client Portal and be able to remove access too.  So we have decided to make the CRM Contact the first section to be updated with the new Client Portal right behind.

 

The image to the right shows the new CRM Billing Details panel and the side drawer that opens to edit or add details.

Above left: The look of the new Contacts Panel in card format. Each card can be expanded to see more details if required.

Above right: The New Locations Panel shows all Location Cards with access to Zones, Attachments & Notes.

 

When will the changes start appearing in my account?

You will start seeing the new design elements come through during January 2024 in the Management Portal first, and later in the App. The updates will then roll out across both the Portal and the App throughout the year.

 

Can I provide feedback and give ideas on future improvements?

Absolutely, we would love your feedback! The best way to both provide feedback and give ideas on future direction is through our Feature Board.  Here you can also see other ideas from our user community and upvote the items you would like to see. The Feature Board is our main driver for deciding on future development direction because it is coming from our valued clients.
