Your Data Your Way Smart Tables by Formitize v2

At Formitize, we find it very important to offer our users the option to customise their dashboard and really make it their own. Users have been able to add their own logo and colours for quite a while now; which instantly makes your dashboard your own.

With Smart Tables, we are taking the ‘make Formitize your own’ to a whole new level. Our innovative Smart Tables allow you to only display the data that is relevant to you, to save one or multiple ‘views’ and we have added the availability to share these views with user groups within your organisation.

Let’s start making Formitize your own with the following Smart Tables tips and tricks.

Views

A ‘View’ is the information that is being displayed in your data tables. You are able to change the data that is being displayed by selecting and/or deselecting columns, filters and date range.

One of the most powerful features of Smart Tables is the ability to save one or multiple views. Being able to save multiple views allows you to easily navigate between different types of information within your Formitize modules.

Saving a new view

After you have selected the columns that you would like to see, applied relevant filters and have chosen your preferred date range, you can add your new view by selecting ‘Views’ and selecting ‘+ Save View’.

Sharing a view with User Groups

When you are saving a new view, you have the ability to share it with others. All you have to do is select ‘Share this view’. Then select the correct User Group and you have now successfully shared your view, hurrah!

Using Columns

To change the information being displayed in your data tables, you can select and deselect columns. Get rid of irrelevant information, get more overview and start making Formitize your own!

Sort columns based on name, date or hierarchy

If you would like to sort columns, you can click on the name of your column to sort this data to your preference. If you would like to sort multiple columns at once, hold down your control button (Windows OS) or command button (Apple OS) and use left mouse click to sort multiple columns at once.

Using Filters

With filters you have the ability to find relevant information within one or multiple columns. For instance: you might want to look for jobs that have been confirmed, but haven’t been paid yet. Adding a filter is a powerful way to get a detailed view of the information that is relevant to you.

Date Range

If you would like to view data for a specific data range (historic, present or future data), you can choose ‘Date Range’ and select your preferred option to view the data in a specific date range.

Smart Tables. Smart Business.

At Formitize we truly believe that we only win if our users win. Helping our users save time, by allowing them to view only relevant data is one of the ways in which we hope to achieve that vision. We hope that the introduction of Smart Tables is going to help you save time, so you can spend more time on what you do best.
